TOFEI guidelines

The cigarettes and other products Act (COTPA) (prohibition of advertisement and regulation of trade and commerce, production, supply and distribution) was enacted by the Govt. of India in 2003.
The Act prohibits advertisement , regulates trade and commerce as well as production, supply and distribution of cigarettes and other products.
Under this act, the Govt. of India has developed guidelines for TOFEI , which have to be followed by EIs across the country.
TOFEI guidelines are needed to promote a healthy and safe learning environment for students and staff.
The Institution can be assessed via a Self-Evaluation Scorecard for TOFEI .
The role of this scorecard is to assess how many educational institutions in Rishikesh comply with these guidelines.
The Educational Institution which will score 90% or above will we rewarded with a certificate.
