Based in Sheffield, we are a citizen science collective that work closely with the Don Catchment Rivers Trust (DCRT) to monitor the health of the Sheffield’s rivers. Our ongoing efforts focus on sampling water quality, surveying invertebrates and documenting and reporting pollution incidents to the Environment Agency. In collaboration with the DCRT, we participate in the Riverfly Monitoring Initiative and engage with organizations such as Yorkshire Water, the Angling Trust, Sheaf and Porter River Trust, Rivelin Valley Conservation Group, Friends of Loxley Valley, and educational institutions from schools to universities in the city.
