Urbanization comes at a cost to the public infrastructure provided by urban entities. Despite good designs of various public infrastructure, often they do not perform to their intended capacity. This alludes to challenges that come with urbanization such as insecurity, crime, vandalism, and lack of compliance to laws and regulations. The latter combined with past history of similar incidents often lead to fear of communities in using infrastructure associated with these incidences and as a result lead to their abandonment, turning them into white elephant projects that serve no purpose. The aim of this research is to develop a hotspot map of these areas that can be usable in creating solutions and taking necessary actions in future.
