Iron deficiency anemia is a common condition during pregnancy where the blood doesn’t carry enough oxygen, which can affect both mother and baby. In India, a large number of women suffer from anemia due to iron and nutrient deficiencies. To prevent this, the government provides Iron-Folic Acid (IFA) tablets through public health services. However, the effectiveness of this program depends on how regularly women take the tablets and maintain a nutritious diet. To assess the severity of childbirth fear(tocophobia) among the antenatal women due to unfamiliar physical and emotional changes, this fear may leads to delay or avoid pregnancy. This study will be conducted among antenatal women visiting Nemam Primary Health Centre. It aims to assess how well they follow IFA supplementation, the variety in their diet, fear of childbirth and what influences these practices. The study finds out adherence of iron folic acid supplements among women.
