This project is a bird survey conducted during a field visit to Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary as part of our Environmental Studies (EVS) practical. Bhindawas, a Ramsar wetland site in Haryana, is home to a wide variety of resident and migratory bird species. The main objective of this activity was to observe, identify, and record bird species along with their number, behavior, and habitat type using the Epicollect5 mobile application. During the survey, we collected data such as date, time, GPS location, weather, bird species observed, count, activities (like flying, feeding, resting), and photos wherever possible. This hands-on experience helped us understand bird diversity, habitat preferences, and the ecological role of wetlands. It also encouraged us to be more aware of conservation efforts needed to protect such ecosystems. The data collected can contribute to a better understanding of local biodiversity and support future environmental education and awareness.
