This project supports the evaluation of the Deelpan Multifunctional Agri-Node (MFAN), a community-based agricultural initiative in North West, South Africa. Deelpan Agricultural activities aim to combat poverty, food insecurity, unemployment, and environmental degradation through sustainable agriculture, skills development, and localized food systems. This evaluation will document Deelpan's agricultural activities' impact on food security, income generation, employment, and environmental sustainability. It will also conduct a feasibility study to assess the potential for expanding into value-added processing, packaging, and integrated market systems. The project prioritizes the inclusion of women and youth, promotes agroecology, and aligns with Seriti’s vision of building resilient, food-secure communities.
