Human-Wildlife Conflict (HWC) poses significant challenges to communities living near wildlife habitats, affecting livelihoods, safety, and biodiversity conservation. To mitigate these conflicts, various measures such as live fencing, wall fencing, and chain-link fencing have been implemented with the fund support from GEF (Global Environment Facility).
This assessment aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these mitigation strategies in reducing HWC incidents, improving community resilience, and enhancing coexistence between humans and wildlife. The study will gather insights on the performance, challenges, and sustainability of these measures, providing recommendations for improvement and future conservation efforts with the project landscape.
